Care Information
Best practices to maintain your mold's lifespan. This information is also included with your mold.
Pouring
- After pouring, avoid letting cured pieces sit inside the mold longer than necessary. Some materials may continue to out-gas after the initial cure which may negatively impact the mold’s inner surface.
- When demolding, be cautious with or avoid using sharp objects entirely. If you have long fingernails, gloves are highly recommended.
Cleaning
- After demolding, wipe down the mold’s inner surface with soapy water and a soft cleaning cloth such as microfiber.
- If significant pigment residue remains on the surface (often the case with darker colors), multiple rounds of scrubbing may be needed.
- Any blemishes still on the mold afterward that are resistant to a soapy water scrub can be wiped away with 70%+ isopropyl alcohol.
Storage
- IMPORTANT — Always turn the mold right-side out once the mold has dried to maintain its shape memory. Failure to do so may permanently damage your mold.
- Always store the mold on a level surface in a cool, dry environment away from sunlight and avoid stacking molds on top of each other.
